Biography of Rhodri Glyn Thomas
Rhodri was born in Wrexham in 1953. He attended the University of Wales Aberystwyth, Bangor and Lampeter. He is a Minister of religion, and is also the director of a language consultancy company.
Rhodri is a fluent Welsh speaker; he is former Chair of CND Cymru, the Welsh spokesperson for Private Business and Chair of the Mid & South Wales Liaison Committee of NSPCC Wales. Rhodri has also served as a community councillor and as a chair of school governors.
Since being elected to the Assembly Rhodri has served as Chair of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, and Chair of the Culture Committee. He is currently the Assembly's Shadow Health Minister and Plaid's Deputy Assembly Group Leader. He sits on the Health & Social Services Committee the European Affairs Committee and the Mid & West Wales Regional Committee.
