Plaid Launch What Wales Want Website
Local Plaid AM Rhodri Glyn Thomas has welcomed the party's the launch of the innovative What Wales Wants Website. The Website forms an integral part of the party's 6 month programme of engagement with the people of Wales as it finalises its preparations for the 2007 National Assembly elections.
Mr Thomas said the website (www.www2007.info) showed how the party was innovating in the field of political communications and also provided the people of Wales with a direct route for informing the party what they want from the next Government of Wales.
The website includes a number of participatory and interactive measures aimed at stimulating debate, such as an idea a day section, online polling, and a message board. Podcasts will be included in future.
Mr Thomas commented:
"The party over the course of the last few months have announced a number of innovative measures as a part of our 6 month programme of engagement. The What Wales Wants website is another interactive tool which will give the people of Wales a direct opportunity to inform us as their party what they want from the next Government of Wales."
"The website itself includes a number of participatory measures to stimulate debate. The idea a day section deliberately aims at pushing the boundaries of policy making outside current official party policy."
