Cross Hands Day Centre Closure Angers Local Residents
Rhodri Glyn Thomas has visited a closing Day Centre at Cross Hands. The Plaid AM visited the centre after being approached by a number of constituents and their families who rely on the facility. They were especially concerned about the implications of losing this vital service.
Mr Thomas said:
"I was struck by the anger of those attending the day centre who felt a genuine feeling of betrayal. They told me that they had not been consulted and that their needs had not been considered during the process of making this decision."
Helen Mary Jones AM added:
"Yet again we see the wishes and opinions of people ignored by the powers that be. This is a vital service which not only affects the people who use the facility but also their friends and loved ones."
